As the multi-stakeholder Text2Teach prepares for its mainstreaming phase, the mobile-based education program is also strengthening partnerships with key institutions.

One notable partnership is with the BPI Foundation, which counts education as one of its strongest advocacies.

On July 7, representatives from Ayala Foundation, the implementing partner for Text2Teach, and BPI Foundation signed an agreement for on the next phase of the program. Through its donation to the program, BPI Foundation will help prepare Department of Education (DepEd) divisions and local government units for the mainstreaming phase, by holding 20 capacity-building sessions for 203 DepEd divisions and 25 LGU advocacy workshops.

Present during the signing were Ayala Foundation President Ruel Maranan, BPI Foundation executive director Faye Corcuera, and Ayala Foundation senior director for Programs Joie Lopez.

Text2Teach is a public-private partnership among Ayala Foundation, Microsoft Philippines, Globe Telecom, the Department of Education, the Department of Interior and Local Government, and the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines.

The mainstreaming phase of the program is supported by BPI Foundation and Toshiba Philippines.
