Generika, Ayala Foundation hold medical mission in Calauan
To help address some of the immediate health needs of the residents of a resettlement site in Calauan, Laguna, Ayala Foundation and Generika organized a medical mission on November 28.
Representatives from Generika and Ayala Foundation were joined by volunteer doctors and interns for the whole-day medical mission.
A total of 538 children and adults were served during the daylong mission, which is a valuable contribution to the community development and sustainable livelihood initiatives that Ayala Foundation and its partners are implementing in the area.
The resettlement site in Calauan, Laguna, now serves as the place of residence for many families displaced by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009 and the rehabilitation of the Pasig River. The Don Bosco Brothers are actively helping the members of the community.
