Ayala Foundation, Inc. and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 8, 2025, at the Ayala Museum, deepening their commitment to the shared mission of uplifting Filipino communities through cooperative development.
The ceremony brought together key leaders and stakeholders, including Undersecretary Alexander B. Raquepo, Chairperson of the Cooperative Development Authority and Tony Lambino, President of Ayala Foundation. The event highlighted the value of cross-sector collaboration in advancing inclusive growth and sustainable development.

Through this partnership, CDA and AFI will work together to strengthen cooperatives supported by both institutions, streamline regulatory compliance for grassroots organizations, and expand skills-based volunteerism through the Ayala Group’s business units. They will also implement targeted programs for Indigenous Peoples and Cultural Communities, and encourage innovation and coordination within the cooperative sector.
During the event, Lambino emphasized the strategic alignment of the partnership with Ayala Foundation’s mission. “This partnership fortifies our efforts on the ground, particularly in the area of economic sustainability — one of the most critical pillars of lasting development. By combining our strengths, we can create livelihood opportunities and improve access to goods and services for communities that need it most,” he said.
Echoing this vision, Undersecretary Alexander B. Raquepo reaffirmed the CDA’s commitment to serving marginalized sectors: “At the heart of CDA’s mission is our commitment to the least, the lost, and the less. This MOU is very important to us because it forges a partnership with Ayala Foundation, one of the best in the field of community development. Together, we can uplift cooperatives and help communities build capacity, resilience, and long-term economic participation.”
The event concluded with the ceremonial signing and a guided tour of the Ayala Museum, underscoring the link between cultural appreciation and community advancement.
This MOU reflects a shared commitment to inclusive growth and Ayala Foundation’s enduring dedication to building thriving communities, paving the way for a more resilient and equitable Philippines.
