September 4, 2018, Makati City—Ayala Museum and Oriental Ceramics Society of the Philippines launched an exhibit on Fujian Ware Found in the Philippines. Featured in this exhibition are more than 150 pieces of Fujian ware on loan from museums and more than 30 private collections.
The wares on display paint a picture of how the Philippines played an active role in the maritime trade in the South China Sea during the Song – Yuan period (11th – 14th century).
The exhibit can be viewed and experienced at Ayala Museum’s Ground Floor Gallery from September 5 to October 1, 2017.
