Disaster Response and Rehabilitation
We provide support for communities that experience natural calamities, sometimes covering all phases from relief to rehabilitation. The locations we support and types of support we provide are guided by a disaster response framework, and are implemented with various donors and partners across sectors.
In 2020, we actively supported communities affected by the Taal eruption and the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2021, we were on the ground helping communities hit by various natural disasters. For Typhoon Odette survivors, we distributed food relief packs to over 131,000 individuals in nine provinces. These efforts continued into 2022 as we provided shelter kits to over 500 families to help them rebuild their homes.
